Our topic this term for Literacy is ‘The Owl who was afraid of the dark’. As part of this we found out that ‘Dark is Fun’, and made our own camp fire in the classroom.

This was a starting point for some creative writing about bonfire night and we had a brilliant time!

We also had a visit from Secret World that linked to ‘Dark is Fascinating’ and nocturnal animals.

It looked very hot and I liked all the pretty colours.

It was super and we toasted marshmallow.
