Our class topic for Term 1 and 2 is World War Two. We have been exploring different aspects of the War including the reasons behind it, what it was like to be an evacuee, the Blitz, the Homefront and the construction of Anderson shelters.

In these pictures we were looking at a variety of photographs taken in the United Kingdom during the War. We were attempting to put the pictures in chronological order and work out what each image was displaying.

In addition to this, we have written letters home to our parents pretending to have been evacuated from Weston Super Mare. We have also linked our topic to geography and have found all the countries involved during the War and discovered what their flags looked like.

Do you know why it was so hard for Germany to invade the United Kingdom? If you would like to find out ask one of the Year 4 children and we will be happy to tell you all about it!

We have learnt a lot about World War Two. It must have been a very scary time for children.

I think if I was evacuated it would be like having an adventure but I would miss my family alot.
