As part of our science work this term, Year 5 went to @t Bristol. We had a fantastic time exploring the exhibits and taking part in a workshop about the Earth, Sun and Moon. We made models of the moon using balloons, positioned the planets in our solar system in order from the sun and made moon dials. We found out why we have night and day and learned about why we have different seasons. It was a great workshop. We were really excited to visit the Planetarium as well. It was really dark and we saw what the stars in the sky look like, when there is no light pollution. We also saw how the sun appears to travel across the sky from East to West. We also visited the moon and looked back towards Earth during the show. We found out a lot about the Earth, moon and sun. We all had a great day and wished we could have stayed for longer.
It was fun and we went to an exciting space workshop. I learnt a lot about the planets.
There were lots of things for us to see. I think the best was the tall plane, it was brilliant.
