This year, school camp was a resounding success!  We left school on Monday 4th July and went rock climbing and caving at Burrington Coombe – with everyone taking part in the activities.

We travelled onto Hill House, going on a sensory walk in the evening which ended with the whole class lying on their backs on a field watching bats fly overhead.

Other highlights were high-ropes, kayaking, wide games, tug-o-war and team building.

Jackie and David, the Hill House staff, were very welcoming and gave us all a great time.  The children were polite, helpful and fun.  They were excellent at washing up, setting the table and keeping their rooms tidy (which is more than can be said for Mrs Dean and Mrs Harrington!).

You might remember that the children have been fundraising all term for their final activity on the Friday.  We ended up going to Hollywood Bowl in Taunton, which was an excellent choice – everyone had a lot of fun.

After bowling it was back to school and home to families for a lot of sleep and catching up.

Well done to everyone involved in camp for making it such a success.

I took part in all the activities at camp even the scary ones. I still can’t believe I went on the high ropes.

School camp was brilliant. The best bit was being away with all my friends.
