Welcome to Christ Church CE VA Primary School
'Let your light shine' - Matthew 5:16
Christ Church CofE Primary School has the atmosphere of a village school, but with the benefits of being near the centre of town. Staff skillfully manage time and space to enable children to develop their academic, spiritual, moral, social and physical gifts and talents in a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
We trust you will enjoy finding out about our school and our approach to teaching and learning.
Since its foundation in 1863, Christ Church Primary School has a longstanding history of being a school at the heart of the local community. Across its 155 year history, the aims of the school have been to encourage pupils and staff to work to the highest possible standards, to inspire each and every one of them to fulfil their potential and to nurture aspirations that open doors and create opportunities for all.
We are very proud of our links with Christ Church Church and other Churches within the local area. We work in partnership with them and the Diocese of Bath and Wells to bring the Christian Values and Ethos into all aspects of school life.
We believe that every child, with the right support, can achieve great things. Each child plays a valuable part in the daily life of our school, our local community and beyond on a more global scale. Our highly committed and skilled staff work hard to create a fun and safe space for children to achieve their very best in all learning experiences.
We have a project based approach to learning and our curriculum is rooted in hands-on, active enquiry that is supported by high quality teaching of the core English, Maths, Science and Computing skills that sit at the heart of our curriculum.
At Christ Church School we aspire to provide a first class education for the children in our surrounding area and strive to ensure that families develop strong links in partnership with us, to support their children in the best possible way.
You are warmly invited to contact the School Administrator - Sue Foote - on 01934 620738 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange an opportunity to meet us in person and see the school at work. We look forward to meeting you.
