Homework
ENGLISH
Each week, children should be reading at least 4 times to an adult at home. We monitor children's reading every Thursday and the class with the highest percentage of children reading 4 or more times receives a trophy and Midnight the Owl. Children should also be practising their class spellings ready for a spelling test on Friday (these are sent home termly by the classteacher).
MATHS
Each week, children should be practising their times tables to enable them to progress through their 40 / 50 / 60 club and reach their class badge. All children have access to Times Tables Rockstars and Numbots to help them to practise.
White Rose Maths is excited to have produced a range of work booklets for parents and children to use over the summer or during next year. These booklets are FREE and can be found on Amazon for the Kindle or downloaded here.
There is one booklet for each of our blocks for Y1 to Y6.
